Norman Kennedy - Scots singer, story teller, master weaver and spinner - is spending part of his vacation with friends in Margaree. He'd like to meet other Gaelic speakers and have a ceilidh, so Jay and the Scotsville School of Crafts have organized an event in his honour. Adrienne Hood, a textile expert from the University of Toronto, and Scott Robson, head of decorative arts for the Nova Scotia Museum will also be there and would like to meet textile artists of all persuasions.
If you have an old quilt, your grandmother's woven blanket, handmade lace - anything that tells the story of Cape Breton - Norman, Adrienne and Scott would love to meet you.
See the flyer for contact info and more. Hope to see you there!
